In a touching moment at the Yerevan airport this summer, missionaries, leaders, and friends gathered to bid farewell to two beloved mission leadership couples: President David and Sister Laurea Stirling, who have served faithfully for three years, and President Ken and Sister Carol Thompson, who completed one year of dedicated service as part of the mission presidency.

Three Years of Steadfast Leadership — and One Year of Support

Since 2021, the Stirlings have provided inspired leadership to the missionaries serving in Armenia and Georgia. Known for their deep care and spiritual guidance, they helped nurture a culture of faith, service, and unity throughout the mission.

President and Sister Thompson joined the mission presidency in 2024, bringing additional strength and support during an important time of growth and transition. Their year of service was marked by kindness, encouragement, and steady dedication.

A Time to Reflect and Celebrate

Missionaries expressed heartfelt gratitude for both couples. “The Stirlings shaped our mission with love and faith,” said one elder. “The Thompsons brought fresh energy and support that helped us feel even stronger.”
