Last week, we gathered with new and returning students, friends, and volunteers to celebrate our BYU-Pathway Worldwide and EnglishConnect programs in Armenia. It was a chance to learn more, ask questions, and connect over our shared goals of spiritual and temporal growth.

BYU-Pathway Worldwide offers low-cost, gospel-centered higher education online, supported by local gatherings. It’s designed to help students start wherever they are — whether that’s learning English or beginning a university degree.

Each week, 45 students attend free EnglishConnect classes in Armenia to build their language skills, grow in confidence, and prepare for further educational opportunities through BYU-Pathway. Students in Georgia are also working diligently toward certificates and degrees that open doors to employment and service.

We shared presentations, enjoyed treats, and had fun giveaways like shirts, pins, and more—but most of all, we were reminded that this is about becoming who God wants us to become.

“The Lord’s way of self-reliance involves education, hard work, and trust in Him.”
— Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf
