This April, members and friends of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Yerevan, Armenia, gathered for a special musical concert to celebrate Easter and remember the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Held at the Arabkir meetinghouse, the Easter concert featured performances by local members, full-time missionaries, and friends of the Church. The music included sacred hymns, classical pieces, and traditional Easter songs, all centered on the Savior.

“It was a peaceful and uplifting evening,” said one attendee. “I felt the Spirit very strongly as we listened to the music and thought about the Savior’s resurrection.”

Bringing People Together

The event brought together a diverse group of people—young adults, families, missionaries, longtime members, and those learning about the Church for the first time. Missionaries invited friends and neighbors, and several guests came for their first visit to a Church meetinghouse.

“I came because a friend invited me,” said one guest. “I didn’t know what to expect, but the music was beautiful and I felt something good. I’d like to come again.”

A Message of Hope

One local leader said the goal of the concert was to share the joy and hope that come from knowing Jesus Christ. “Music has a unique power to communicate the message of the gospel,” he said. “Even without many words, people could feel the Spirit and remember the meaning of Easter.”

The concert ended with a group performance of “He Is Risen,” sung in Armenian and English. After the music, attendees stayed to talk and enjoy light refreshments.

“This was one of my favorite Church activities,” said a young adult who helped organize the event. “It brought us together and reminded us that Christ’s resurrection is not just something to believe in—it’s something to celebrate.”
